Juéshè cóngshū 覺社叢書 (Awakening Society Collectania)

A Chinese Buddhist periodical; precursor to the Hǎicháo yīn 海潮音.

Quarterly, averaging about 150 pages per issue. Printed by Zhōnghuá shūjú 中華書局. Inspired by a lecture Tàixū gave at Pǔtuó Shān 普陀山, several monks and lay people moved to Shànghǎi and started the society and the periodical. It was relatively liberal. Topics discussed included literature and explanations of Buddhist terms. Daoist and Confucian authors were also included.
