In January of [[1923]] he tested into the Chinese Inner Studies Institute [[支那內學院]], where he studied under Ōuyáng Jìngwú [[歐陽竟無]]. He graduated in August and began teaching at Northeastern University 東北大學 in September. There, he lectured on Consciousness-Only 唯識 as a replacement for Western epistemology.  He was a skeptic, treating traditional beliefs, as well as the works of ancient Chinese and contemporary Western philosophers with caution. Jǐng Chāngjí 景昌極 (1903-1982) was an educator, exponent of Consciousness-Only 唯識, and a student of Ōuyáng Jiàn.

Biography

Jǐng went to middle school (1915-1919) and teachers’ college (1919-1923) in Nánjīng 南京.
