An article's edit status is a way of keeping track of what state the article is in. You can check an article's status by going to its discussion page. If it hasn't already been included, you can do so by adding the line
{{EditStatus|status=X}}
to the discussion page of the article in question.
Standards for different levels of edit status are as follows:
A | The article has a good deal of information and the style and structure are both very clear. New information may be added but the article is in good shape |
B | The article is lacking some important information, or there are issues with the style and/or structure |
C | The article is very incomplete, or is in need of major editing work |
Start | The article only contains the most basic information about the subject, and needs much more content to be complete |
Articles are collected by edit status into categories for easier identification.
