Zhōng Rì mìjiào 中日密教 (Sino-Japanese Esotericism)

A short-lived Japanese-run periodical in Northern China.

The parent organization of this periodical, the Sino-Japanese Esotericism Research Association, was based at the headquarters of the Shingon 真言 sect, Koyasan 高野山. The goal of this organization was colonial in intent, they sought to use Esoteric Buddhism to create an entry for Japanese culture and authority into Chinese Buddhist life.

There are seven issues in the MFQ: vol. 1, nos. 1-2, vol. 2, nos. 1-3, 5, 12) (MFQ 45.261-483).
