Hóngfǎ shèkān 弘法社刊 (Periodical of the Dharma Propagation Society)

A Chinese Buddhist periodical associated with Dìxián 諦閑

  • Run: August 1928 – January 1937
  • Location(s): Guānzōng Temple 觀宗寺 in Níngbō 寧波 until 1932, afterward, published in Yúnnán 雲南
  • Person(s): Chief editor, Bǎojìng 寶靜; dedicated to promoting the ideas of Dìxián
  • Associated Organizations: Organ of the Dharma Propagation Research Society 弘法研究社 (See 觀宗研究社)

Published monthly, first by Níngbō’s Gōuhé 鉤和 Co. Publishing. This journal promoted Tiāntái 天台. When Dìxián died in 1932, Bǎojìng went to Yúnnán and continued publishing a journal by the same name. The primary focus of the journal remained Tiāntái thought. It included sections on legends, poetry, lectures, photos, and news from Chóngqìng 重慶, Hong Kong, and Anhuī 安徽.
