Re: search engine ignoring pinyin tone marks: I'll check it out today.

I think the Lucene [1] search engine is what we need. From the README:
"articles are parsed for basic wiki syntax and are stripped of accents" [2]
I'll contact Simon and see if he can get this installed for us.

#REDIRECT[[page]]where "page" is the name of the target of the redirect. I think it has to be on the first line, any other content will be ignored. To sign a page, just enter two dashes and four tildes
--~~~~or click the second button from the right about the editing window.

Check out my user page for an example of a comprehensive page index. The lists are supposed to be collapsible but that's not working yet. I contacted Simon re: search engine. Great work btw.
PS: When do you want to pause on adding new pages and do a comprehensive edit before making a public announcement about the site? I think a threshold of 100 content pages is a good spot to look back. Also, before we open up for new users we should put together a constitution of sorts to guide future questions and disputes.

Simon's going to check out the search engine. It's not perfect but it should be better than the default. By the way there's another problem with the pinyin converter; it can't seem to convert a u with an umlaut over it.

I added a box under the edit box to add pinyin vowels with tone marks. Let me know if you spot any errors. I can put just about anything in that box, if you think there are other special characters that should be included, let me know.

I added an Article Index that collects all articles that have been categorized into our six main categories. I'm trying to figure out how best to format the main page of the site. Any ideas? I tried to find info on 會覺 but can't find anything substantial on him.
Also, Dharma Drum has an online spreadsheet with info on the MFQ and MFQB, listing the contents of each volume in some detail. Should I find out about incorporating that data into the wiki?
