Fóxué bànyuèkān 佛學半月刊 (Buddhism Semimonthly) was the biggest Buddhist newspaper in the Republic in terms of publication size.

It went to runs of more than 10,000, some of which were sold, others of which were donated. The size of each individual issue varied from 7 to 20 pages, with an average of 10 pages per issue. Most of the famous writers of the time published in this newspaper. It dealt with a variety of current events and was known as being fairly confrontational.

  • MFQ has a fairly complete run from issues 1-313, including a special issue on Hóngyī 弘一, reprinted in Vols. 47-55
  • MFQB has many of the issues missing from the MFQ collection, as well as many special issues on particular topics
