This is a working list of Japanese Buddhist periodicals that were in print between 1850 and 1950. Since so many Buddhists in China had ties to Japanese Buddhist scholarship, assembling data on Japanese Buddhist publications can help us better understand the strands of relationship and influence that connected Buddhists in both countries. Characters used are the pre-1945, pre-shinjitai characters.
