Confucian-Buddhist Primary School (Rú Shì chūgāo xiǎoxué 儒釋初高小學) a short-lived primary school for monks in Jiāngsū 江蘇.

History

  • Location(s): Hóngkāi Temple 宏開寺, Tài County 泰縣, Jiāngsū 江蘇

After the founding of the Republic, many of the monasteries in Tài County 泰縣 banded together to open a school for their younger monks. Zhìguāng 智光 was the school's first principal. Courses included Chinese language, history, geography, math, English, and Buddhist studies. The school averaged over fifty students.

The school closed after three terms owing to a lack of funds.
