Other Notes
- Zhū Zǐqiáo 朱子橋 was an important figure for exploring and reviving the Buddhist culture of this area in the first half of the 20th century.
- In 1929 he discovered a nearly complete edition of the Sòng Dynasty-era Qìshā Canon 磧砂經 here
- As a general in the Chinese Army, he was stationed here from 1936 to his death in 1941. During this time he unearthed and renovated many temples and Buddhist monuments.
- Tánxū 倓虛 lived here from 1932 to 1934, helping to revive Buddhism.
