Yángzhōu 揚州 is a city in Jiāngsū 江蘇 province, on the north bank of the Chángjiāng 長江. The British China Inland Mission had an important station here, and it is home to several important Buddhist sites.

Important Buddhist Sites

  • The Dàmíng Temple 大明寺, founded in the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, rebuilt in the 1930s. Was known as Fǎjìng Temple 法淨寺 during the Qīng Dynasty because of the name's resonance with the Míng Dynasty.
