Fóxué yuèkān 佛學月刊
Buddhism Monthly |
Fóxué yuèkān 佛學月刊 (Buddhism Monthly) was a Chinese Buddhist periodical based in Běijīng 北京.
It ran to roughly 30 pages per issue, and much of the material in it was written by students at the Chinese Buddhist Seminary. It covered everything in the wider Buddhist world from literary, artistic, and other angles.
Holmes Welch claims this periodical ran from 1921 to 1943, though it was originally published at Beijing's Guǎngjì Temple 廣濟寺 before being moved to the Seminary.[1] The index to the MFQ says it ran from June 1, 1937 to 1940. Gāo Zhènnóng 高震農 claims it ran from June 1, 1941, to December 1943.[2] This is supported by the range of holdings in the MFQ.
MFQ has 31 issues. Looks to be a complete run from 1941-1944.
