Fóxué cóngbào 佛學叢報 (Buddhist Miscellany)

One of the two earliest Buddhist periodicals published in China, the other being Buddhist Monthly 佛教月刊, also published in Shànghǎi.

Contained scholarship, art, literature, Q&A, Buddhist news. Cài Yuánpéi 蔡元培,Oūyáng Jìan 歐陽漸,and Dìxián 諦閑 all published important expositions there. Some monks published careful scholarship there, and Yìnguāng 印光 used the periodical to promote Pure Land Buddhism. Its style was imitated by later magazines.
