While I appreciate the contribution, unless we're going to have an entire German version of the site, I do not think that this description belongs here.

Ok, just gave it a try, since I already had the german text at hand and my english is not the best, I posted it. Nevertheless I also corrected the english version! There is a type-o at We(n)xi, which makes it impossible to query the only entry about him. Additionally Wenxi never went to Japan, for he was arrested in Shanghai one night before his departure to Japan. Conservative Sangha-factions denounced him of collaborating with the Revolutionary Party there. He got sentenced for life, but was soon released after the successful revolution in 1911. (dongchu p.79)
Zuo Songtao (2008) provides the best scholarship on the early years of the new sangha-education in China so far. (He´s correcting a lot of mistaken dates regarding the this developments.
