==World Buddhist Lay Association: Shìjiè fójiào jūshì lín 世界佛教居士林==

The most important Chinese lay Buddhist association of the early 20th century.

This organization was formed during a reorganization of the Shànghǎi World Buddhist Lay Association [[上海世界佛教居士林]] in [[1922]], in which one part was spun off as the Shànghǎi Buddhist Pure Karma Association [[上海佛教淨業社]].

This Association published ''Shìjiè Fójiào jūshìlín línkān'' [[世界佛教居士林林刊]] (''Magazine of the World Buddhist Lay Association'') from [[1926]] to [[1937]].  It also operated a library, a school, and a clinic.
