Hànyáng 漢陽 was a city in central China on the Yangzi river, and was an important location in the late Qīng and Republican periods because of the Hànyáng Arsenal 漢陽兵工廠 and the Hànyáng Ironworks 漢陽鐵廠.
Hànyáng had existed as a distinct geographical entity since the Five Dynasties. In 1928 it was merged with nearby Hànkǒu 漢口 and Wǔchāng 武昌 to form Wǔhàn 武漢.
